- Provides training in job-seeking skills.
- Recreation Services
- Offers socialization, arts and crafts, ceramics, bowling, and field-trip to various local events and shopping.
- Daily Living Skills/Independent Living Skills Training
- Provides training in daily living skills, braille, orientation and mobility
- Computer Training/Assistive Technology
- We provide training in a wide-range of various software programs, operating systems, screen access software, optical character recognition (OCR) software, mainstream office and internet programs, as well as a Varity of assistive devices, such as: Victor Reader Stream, CCTVs, iPhones/iPads and Android-based Phone/Tablets, and more.
- Information and Referral
- Provides information and referral and case management services.
- Braille and Reading Instruction
- Offers instruction in braille grades I and II.
- Assistive Products
- Distributes magnifiers and assistive devices.
- Travel/Orientation and Mobility
- Provides training in orientation and mobility.
- Support Groups
- This peer support group provides useful and practical information that assists with the emotional adjustment to vision loss. Participants obtain information about local community resources and other services for people who are blind or visually impaired. Designed to increase self-esteem, Adjustment to Vision Loss offers participants the opportunity to discuss feelings and reactions to vision loss; peer support aids the adjustment process.
